IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative) framework

The International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) came about to develop international standardised terminology and definitions for texture modified foods and thickened liquids for people with dysphagia, helping to improve patient safety

There are 2 types of training relating to Dysphasia :

1. For drinks - this is aimed at Nurses and healthcare Assistants

2. Food modification which includes practicals in the kitchen and this is aimed at the Chefs
